NVRHA Northern Lights Affiliate

Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota and South Dakota

The National Versatility Ranch Horse Association becomes "local" in 2010 with the newly formed NVRHA Northern Lights Affiliate.  Northern Lights will encompass the states of Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin and will hold 6 NVRHA clinic/competitions in 2010!  The weekends will be focused on the American Ranch Horse (any breed is welcome) and will include skills a typical horse on the ranch would be expected to perform.  Classes include Ranch Riding, Ranch Trail, Ranch Cutting, and Working Ranch.   A unique conformation class, which judges the horse on "form to function", is also part of the program.  This year will be our first year as an Affiliate and we will be giving Year End Regional Awards for our 6 competitions!  The key to our program will be to provide an education first and foremost, followed by a schooling competition in a more stress free environment.  Regardless of the skill level, the event's primary focus will be the education and enjoyment of the adventure.  A social get-together on Saturday night is always part of the program where you can get to know your fellow versatility enthusiasts as well as talk further with the clinicians.  We keep our clinician to participant ratio low so you will get a lot of personal attention.  Come join the fun, challenge yourself and your horse, and  learn something new.  Go to the national website at nvrha.org to read about the divisions (you only compete against those of like abilities) and the rules and regulations.  Click on Clinics/Competitions on bar above to get the dates of future clinics in our area.
